Rosalyn,
I am sure you receive many emails revealing how wonderful your pralines are, but today I send you greeting from Afghanistan confirming the same sentiment. My name is LT Kittra Owens and currently I am deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as an Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon Mentor. My primary role as a Navy doctor is to instruct the Afghan surgeons on more efficient medical/trauma management skills to care for their soldiers and civilians. My aunt, Doris Calloway, and cousin Adam Badger (who reside in Marrero, LA) sent me a care package that contained 2 dozen of your pralines. I shared a few with fellow service members but kept several as a reminder of all the good things LA pralines remind me of. You know things like Mardi Gras, The Jazz Festival, Bourbon Street, and Popeye's. Its amazing how a little gesture such as receiving your pralines brought joy to my entire week. Truthfully, it's reminders of home that keep all deployed service members motivated and focused on staying safe until our return home.
